Blackbaud eTapestry: pricing, status and switching
Blackbaud still sells eTapestry, which it calls entry-level fundraising software for smaller teams. It doesn't publish a price; you request a quote. Every subscription includes implementation, training and basic data conversion. To leave, export accounts and journal entries to CSV yourself, or ask Blackbaud for a full backup, which support can't price.
Is eTapestry still sold?
Yes. Blackbaud markets eTapestry as "entry-level software" for small fundraising teams, with "Request a Demo" and "Ask About Pricing" buttons.1 Bloomerang's competitor page says Blackbaud's shift to Raiser's Edge means "no more eTapestry updates and likely sunsetting".2 That is Bloomerang's claim; we found no end-of-sale notice from Blackbaud.
How much does eTapestry cost?
Quote only. Blackbaud says its quotes depend on "your organization's size, number of users, selected solutions or modules, and the level of support".3 Review sites list starting prices, but Blackbaud doesn't publish them, so we don't repeat them. For CRMs that do publish prices, see nonprofit CRM pricing.
What's included?
- Implementation and training in all subscriptions, plus basic data conversion.1
- Embeddable online forms for donations, memberships, event registrations and more, with integrated payment processing and eReceipts.1
- Email tools, crowdfunding and peer-to-peer fundraising.1
- Wealth ratings, data health scorecards and National Change of Address updates.1
How do I export my data from eTapestry?
- Do it yourself: Blackbaud's 'Create a Database Backup' help page walks through an account export and a journal export (a report run on the All Journal Entries query), saved as CSV to your Drop Box.4
- Ask Blackbaud: its Professional Services tool exports about 45 linked tab-delimited files plus a Microsoft Access copy. eTapestry support 'cannot give details on pricing nor scheduling'; an account rep quotes it.5
Get the export before your renewal date, then check record counts against eTapestry before you cancel.
Where do eTapestry users switch?
Our Blackbaud alternatives page compares published prices and migration help for Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Neon CRM, Little Green Light, Virtuous and CiviCRM. To price a move, use the switching cost calculator or see free CRM migration offers.
