What will switching CRMs cost?

Assumptions, stated plainly

• Published prices are list prices read on each vendor's pricing page (verified Oct 16, 2026), before tax and discounts.123456 Little Green Light and Givebutter Plus publish prices by contact count; Salesforce publishes per-user prices. Bloomerang, Neon CRM and DonorPerfect publish only a starting price, flagged in yellow: your quote will likely be higher for a larger database.
• Not published: Raiser's Edge NXT, Virtuous and CiviCRM Spark don't list a price we could verify, and NPSP has no license price of its own (it's a free package on Salesforce licenses).78910 For these, the calculator counts $0 until you type your own number, and says so.
• Salesforce: per user per month, billed annually; we subtract the 10 donated licenses eligible nonprofits get through Power of Us.611
• Payment fees: default processing is Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢ per successful US card transaction.12 Little Green Light lists processing "starting at 2.2% + $0.30", paid to the processor.1 Givebutter charges 0% platform fee and covers unpaid processing fees when donor tips are on; with tips off it's a flat 3% platform fee plus 2.9% + 30¢ for cards.5 Number of transactions = donations ÷ average gift. Edit the rates under "Payment fees" if yours differ.

• Not counted: price increases at renewal, contract buy-outs or early-termination fees, time saved (or lost) after the switch, and fundraising gains or losses. Payback = one-time cost ÷ monthly savings; 3-year net = 36 months of savings minus the one-time cost.
