Salesforce Data Export Service (Setup > Data Export) produces a zip of CSV files. Manual export every 7 days (weekly) or 29 days (monthly); weekly exports are available in Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited editions. Zip files are deleted 48 hours after the notification email. Data Loader is a separate installable client for targeted exports.1

NPSP Data Importer: fill Salesforce's NPSP import template as a CSV, upload it to staging records (NPSP Data Imports), do a dry run, then process. One pass can create household or organization accounts, contacts, donations, payments, soft credits, allocations and campaign members, with matching rules to prevent duplicates.2

NPSP itself is a free, open-source package installed on Salesforce licenses; there are no 'NPSP licenses'. Since December 2025, new Power of Us orgs no longer get NPSP preconfigured (they get 10 donated Agentforce Nonprofit or Sales & Service licenses and can install NPSP themselves). Existing NPSP orgs keep their licenses and support.345
